Gateways are the central link in the Kraal system. They receive long-range transmissions from the Smart Ear Tags and send the data securely to the Kraal cloud platform, where it’s transformed into real-time monitoring, alerts, and insights you can act on.

Outdoor Gateway

Rugged, weatherproof, and designed for wide-area coverage. Mounted on a mast, barn, or elevated point, it delivers up to 15-20km coverage in clear line of sight, ensuring even large or remote farms stay connected. Data is backhauled by default via 4G/LTE, or through satellite services like Starlink in regions without reliable cellular coverage.

Solar Battery Power

Every outdoor gateway includes an 80W solar panel and 50Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, housed in a waterproof IP65-rated enclosure. This system runs continuously, even off-grid, with 5+ days of autonomy without sunlight. Weighing under 8 kg, it’s lightweight and easy for a single person to install.

Indoor Gateway

A cost-effective alternative for smaller farms or where infrastructure already supports placement indoors. It provides the same long-range reception (15–20 km depending on terrain and antenna quality) as the outdoor version, while reducing upfront costs.

Ground Mast
